Regulatory Legal Act: Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 478 dated August 3, 2024 “On the Regulation of Retail Trade of Goods Subject to Mandatory Digital Labeling”

For the purpose of regulating the retail trade of goods subject to mandatory digital labeling and monitoring compliance with labeling rules, the Cabinet of Ministers decrees:

By September 1, 2024, the Tax Committee is tasked with ensuring control over the registration of participants in the circulation of goods engaged in the retail sale of alcoholic and tobacco products, beer, medicines and household appliances in the national information system Asl Belgisi.

To establish the procedure for notifying the district (city) tax inspectorate one month in advance about the termination of activities for participants in the circulation of goods.

To approve the norms of confiscation and criminal liability for entities importing, producing and selling products with counterfeit digital labeling and/or counterfeit products, by August 1, 2026.

To develop a regulatory legal document establishing the requirement for wholesale sales of products with digital labeling only in non-cash form by November 1, 2024.

To systematize documents in the field of trade and develop the draft Law “On Trade” by December 1, 2024.
