Data Matrix — a two-dimensional barcode identifier used for mandatory product labeling. It contains the GTIN number, a unique serial number, and a crypto-tail for verifying product authenticity. It is unique to each product. The Data Matrix encodes information about the manufacturer, expiration date and production date, batch and series number, as well as product characteristics. In Uzbekistan, the creation of Data Matrix codes is managed by the NIS "Asl Belgisi". To obtain codes, manufacturers and importers need to submit a request to the system.
GTIN - Global Trade Item Number — an international 14-digit barcode number. It is used to identify product groups in global markets and to systematize product types. The development and assignment of GTIN is handled by the international association GS1. GTIN is applied to product packaging in the form of a barcode in one of the standard symbologies. GTIN is assigned to batches of products that are identical in their parameters. In the NIS "Asl Belgisi" system, labeling is done using GS1 Data Matrix. This is an extended two-dimensional version of GTIN. It contains more information — manufacture date, weight, expiration date, batch or series number.
GS1 - Global Standard One — an independent non-profit organization that standardizes accounting and barcode encoding. There are unified codes GTIN, GLN, SSCC in global trade, which are provided by GS1. Without GS1 standards, supply chain participants would not have unified information about the product, its manufacturer, and location. To obtain and use codes from GS1, one must join it. This is possible through authorized representatives, one of whom exists in each GS1 member country. In Uzbekistan, this is the organization GS1 Uzbekistan. More detailed information on joining GS1 Uzbekistan is described on the association's website.
Traceability - Traceability in general means control over the movement of a batch of goods. However, with the implementation of digital labeling, it became possible to combine labeling and traceability technologies and track not only the movement of batches but also each individual product unit — for example, a can of beer or a specific package of a medicinal product. It is possible to track the path of each specific product unit from the manufacturer, through the wholesale link, to the retail point, and until its sale to the buyer. Technically, this is implemented by including aggregated marking codes in electronic invoices (ESF), which organizations exchange when transferring goods.
NIS MPT "Asl Belgisi" - The National Information System for Monitoring Labeling and Traceability of Products "Asl Belgisi" is an information system created to automate the processes of collecting and processing information about the turnover of goods subject to mandatory labeling with digital identification means, storing such information, providing access to it, its provision and dissemination, improving the efficiency of information exchange, and ensuring traceability of these goods, as well as other purposes stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
ICOM - Order management station, a software and hardware tool designed for information exchange between a supply chain participant and the labeling system, used by the participant to obtain marking codes and transmit information about product labeling with digital identification means to the NIS "Asl Belgisi".
TN VED - Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
AIK - Aggregated Import Code, a unique sequence of characters for each separate set of goods, representing a combination of identification codes of each product, including identification codes of packaging that unites goods during aggregation, formed by the operator for identification purposes, used by a supply chain participant during customs declaration of goods.
EDS - Electronic Digital Signature, a signature in an electronic document obtained as a result of special transformations of the information in the electronic document using a private key of the electronic digital signature, which allows using the public key of the electronic digital signature to verify the absence of distortion of information in the electronic document and to identify the owner of the private key of the electronic digital signature. EDS is required for registration and operation in the NIS "Asl Belgisi".
ESF - Electronic invoice, an electronic document confirming the sale and purchase of goods (works, services), issued and received through operators of the electronic invoice turnover system, formatted according to the form established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (including additional and corrected invoices).
IKPU – Identification code of products and services, presented as a set of characters.
CSV - Comma-Separated Values, a text file format designed to present tabular data.
CRPT TURON - Limited Liability Company "CRPT TURON" carries out the creation, operation, and technical maintenance of the NIS "Asl Belgisi", including installation and configuration of all its components necessary to ensure digital labeling and traceability of goods. CRPT TURON is appointed as the operator of the digital product labeling system by the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
XML - eXtensible Markup Language — an extensible markup language that consists of a set of tags, their attributes, values, and a set of rules defining which attributes and elements can be part of other elements.
Track&Trace — an automated solution, a system for tracking the movement of goods subject to mandatory labeling. It is also used for processing and servicing their movement. It provides management of marking codes throughout the entire supply chain — from ordering the marking code to the sale of the product.
Emission — the process of issuing (creating and issuing) unique marking codes in the national digital labeling system. The type of emission (for a marking code) is a characteristic of the process, the method of releasing goods into circulation, namely "Production in the country" (local production) or "Import (from third countries)".
