Ordering codes → Remarking

Remarking is intended for participants in the distribution chain with the roles “Wholesale” and “Retail” and is used when previously applied product labeling has been damaged or lost, for example:

• the labeling is damaged or erased;

• the labeling code cannot be read by a scanner;

• the customer returned the product without labeling;

• in other similar cases when further distribution of the product with the original labeling code is impossible.

Remarking assumes that the Manufacturer/Importer initially correctly applied the labeling code to the product and transferred it to the Wholesale/Retail participant; however, the labeling was damaged or lost during further distribution.

❗️Important: currently, remarking is available only for the product group “Water and soft drinks.”

The cost of one labeling code ordered for remarking is the same as the cost of a code for initial labeling and amounts to 68 soums excluding VAT or 76 soums and 16 tiyin including VAT.

Remarking procedure

To perform remarking, a participant in the distribution chain with the role “Wholesale” or “Retail” must:

1. Enter into an agreement with the Digital Labeling Operator

2. Top up the personal account

3. Order labeling codes

4. Apply new labeling codes

5. Submit the application report

Enter into an agreement with the Digital Labeling Operator

Contact the Digital Labeling Operator to enter into an agreement for the provision of labeling codes for remarking purposes and obtain the ability to order codes for the product group “Water and soft drinks.”

Top up the personal account

Top up the personal account in accordance with the “Payment for LC” instructions and wait for the funds to be credited to the personal account in the personal account of the NIS MPT “ASL BELGISI.”

Order labeling codes

Create an order in accordance with the “Ordering codes” instructions.

When creating an order:

• select the labeling purpose “Remarking”;

• specify the GTIN (barcode) of the product for which new labeling codes are required;
  The specified GTIN:
  - may not belong to the organization placing the order;
  - must be included in the list of published product descriptions (cards).

• after the order is completed, download the received labeling codes.

Apply new labeling codes

Apply the received labeling codes to the corresponding products.

Submit the application report

Submit the application report in accordance with the “Applying LC” instructions, selecting the product release method “Product labeling.”

After the report is successfully processed, the new labeling codes change to the status “In circulation,” after which the product may participate in further distribution.

Operations with remarking codes

Codes obtained for the purpose of “Remarking” are practically no different in terms of functionality from codes obtained for the purpose of “Initial labeling.”

Remarking codes can be used to:

• transfer products through the ESF chain;

• make a sale using a cash register receipt;

• perform a write-off;

• perform aggregation;

• verify codes in the ASL BELGISI. Consumer and ASL BELGISI. BUSINESS mobile apps.

⚠️Restriction: a code obtained for the purpose of “Remarking” cannot be used when creating an AIK, because after release, this code has the status “In circulation.”

What happens to the original labeling code

The original (“old”) labeling code, which was replaced by a new code obtained for the purpose of “Remarking,” is not changed, canceled, or automatically replaced in the NIS MPT “ASL BELGISI.”

If necessary, the original code can be written off from the organization's inventory using one of the following methods:

• by submitting a write-off act in the taxpayer's account;

• as part of the scheduled inventory of stock balances conducted by the Tax Committee.
