Procedure for applying the marking code on the packaging
The procedure for applying digital identification means to household appliances is regulated in Resolution No. 148, Chapter 5, dated 02.04.2022.
When manufacturing household appliances in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the application of digital identification means is carried out at the places of production or storage of products.
In the case of importing household appliances into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan from other countries, the labeling with digital identification means may be carried out in the following order:
- during the production of household appliances;
- in the territory of other states before crossing the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- before the customs procedure “release for free circulation (import)” is completed, on the territory of the customs warehouse.
Digital identification means are applied by manufacturers and importers of household appliances to the consumer packaging of the product (mandatory), provided that the product itself is not removed from the packaging and the digital identification means cannot be separated without damage.
The digital marking means may also be applied to the product itself and to the product passport (at the discretion of the manufacturer).
The digital identification means must not be printed on packaging tape or other external packaging material and must not be covered by other information. The digital identification means is applied to a specially designated contrast area measuring at least 14 × 14 millimeters, ensuring the possibility of scanning using a scanner or mobile device.
