The article presents documentation of the business process for the mutual recognition of medicinal product marking codes between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
As a result of joint efforts by the competent authorities, an intergovernmental agreement was signed, a protocol for information exchange between the “Chestny ZNAK” system (MDLP) and the NIS “ASL BELGISI” was agreed upon, and the functionality for data exchange and code recognition was launched. Detailed descriptions and process flowcharts have been prepared, and pilot testing of the full cycle of code recognition during cross-border movement of products has begun.
The implementation of this mechanism is aimed at strengthening trust between the states, reducing the risks of circulation of unmarked or counterfeit medicines, and ensuring effective quality control and safety of medicinal products for citizens.
The described process covers only the recognition of medicinal product marking codes and does not exempt from the requirement to undergo state procedures, including the registration and certification of medicinal products, as stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation and the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
