Creating a product profile in the National Catalog is one of the main steps to label the goods. Manufacturers and importers are required to register each commodity unit, which is subject to labeling, since without this step the participant in the commodities turnover will not be able to order Data Matrix codes. Access to the National Catalog is free for each user.
In this article you will learn:
- What steps to take to register new products
- How to change previously published product profiles

What steps to take to register new products
To register a new product profile, you need to take the below five steps.
- Create a draft profile. When the user creates a new product profile, the system will automatically assign to it the Draft status, subject to successful registration;
- Filling out mandatory attributes. The number of attributes may vary depending on the commodity group. All mandatory attributes will be highlighted in red.
- Sending the draft profile for verification. As soon as you enter all the necessary parameters, click on the Send for Moderation button to verify the data you have specified. Allow for up to 2 business days for moderation.
- After moderation. Upon verification, the system will change the profile status either to To Be Updated or Pending Signature. If status has changed to To Be Updated, update the profile changes and re-send for moderation. To speed up the adjustment process, the moderator will make comments regarding incorrectly populated attributes.
- Publish the profile with the Pending Signature status. To publish a profile, it must be signed with the digital signature. Draft profiles will be removed from the system. The system will only contain profiles with the Published status.
How to change previously published product profiles
If any characteristics of products registered in the National Catalog have changed (e.g., packaging design or ingredients), the owner can make changes.
To update the published profile, take the following steps:
- Click on the three-dot menu and move to Open Draft for a certain profile in the Products section.
- The system will automatically create a draft based on the profile with the Published status.
- Click on the arrows on the right of the Published and select the Draft status from the drop-down directory.
- Press the three-dot menu and select Edit.
After you have edited the product profile, it must be re-sent for verification. After successful moderation, you can again sign and publish the draft.
The previously published profile will be saved in updates.
