Key user actions in the National Catalog
Each user who has signed up the National Catalog may change Profile Settings. How to learn more about the User Account in the National Catalog, you can learn in User Account in the National Catalog: functionality and settings.
How to use the National Catalog
The main activity in the National Catalog is registration of new product profiles and updates of those that have been registered earlier.
First of all, participants in the commodities turnover should know that no product profile may be registered without GTIN, a product code in the international commodity database. GTIN can only be obtained in GS1 Uzbekistan, an association responsible for the development and implementation of automated identification and bar coding of goods. GS1 Uzbekistan membership is subject to a fee. To learn more about GS1 Uzbekistan and its role in the labeling system, read Why do you need GS1.
The process of registering a new product profile is simple. It is necessary to fill all relevant product attributes and submit the profile for verification. Upon profile moderation (verification), it can be published through confirmation with the digital signature. If during moderation (verification), the user is asked to modify the profile, the user should correct the data and re-submit the profile for verification. In this case, the items to be modified will be highlighted in red and an error hint will be indicated inside the nearby red triangle.
Keep in mind that for products in different commodity groups mandatory attributes may also differ. A step-by-step description of how to create a product profile depending on differences in commodity groups can be found in How to create a product profile in the National Catalog.
