Product marking is the process of applying special means of identification that allow tracking the movement of a product from production or import to the final sale. In Uzbekistan, the Data Matrix code is used as the identification tool.
Marking of goods helps reduce counterfeit products, increases profits for honest businesses, boosts trust in manufacturers, and provides consumers with a tool to independently verify the authenticity of products.
Mandatory digital marking of goods is introduced in accordance with the decrees of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
"Asl Belgisi" NITS is the national information system for product marking and traceability, where all activities of product turnover participants take place. Registration in this system enables participants to request marking codes, perform product entry and exit from circulation, and have full visibility of their product flow.
