Regulatory Framework: On Normative Legal Acts Regarding the Mandatory Marking of Electrical Products Manufactured or Imported into the Territory of the Republic

In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 737 dated November 20, 2020, "On the Introduction of a System of Mandatory Digital Marking for Certain Types of Goods."

Thus, since December 2020, the launch of the National Information System for Monitoring Product Marking and Traceability "Asl Belgisi" (hereinafter referred to as the NIS) has been ensured. Among the main tasks of the NIS are the automation of data collection and processing regarding the circulation of goods, the use of identification means, and the subsequent registration of all stages of product movement within the system.

Annex 1 to the above-mentioned Resolution approved the List of Goods subject to mandatory digital marking by means of identification in 2021–2022, including the product group "Household Appliances," with the specification of product groups according to HS codes.

Furthermore, the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 148 dated April 2, 2022, "On the Establishment of a System for the Mandatory Digital Marking of Household Appliances," defined the stages and dates for the practical implementation of the Resolution's provisions.

As of April 15, 2022, the mandatory digital marking of goods and household appliances has been launched.

We remind you that the practice of mandatory digital marking has been introduced to significantly enhance mechanisms for preventing cases of illegal importation, production, and sale of goods within the Republic, to ensure the legal circulation of specific types of products, and to protect consumer rights.
